Respecting your privacy is a fundamental value at Central Philadelphia Quaker Meeting, and we hold integrity as a core principle in our operations. This policy outlines how we collect and utilize your personal information.
Information we collect about you
When you register for an event, complete an online form on www.cpmm.org, join a committee, or engage with Central Philadelphia Quaker Meeting ('The Meeting'), we will often request contact information. We may also request demographic information and details regarding your preferences and needs in relation to services offered by 'The Meeting'.
When you make book purchases, donations, or attend paid events organized by 'The Meeting', we will request billing and payment information.
'The Meeting' utilizes common internet technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, to monitor website performance, track anonymous interactions with our websites, and personalize interactions with some of our emails.
Yearly Meetings, associations, and monthly meetings affiliated directly with 'The Meeting' provide mailing information for their members and attenders approximately once per year.
How we use that information
'The Meeting' uses the information collected to provide the services you request.
We may use the information collected to provide you with additional information about 'The Meeting''s services and events, as well as to request your financial support for our work.
The information collected is used to enhance our websites and services.
We may use information provided by affiliated Yearly Meetings and monthly meetings for up to three print mailings per year.
Information collected and provided by Yearly and Monthly Meetings may be used for communications related to service on 'The Meeting' committees, service within 'The Meeting' governance, or to extend other service/volunteer opportunities to you.
'The Meeting' is dedicated to serving and being accountable to the affiliated Monthly and Yearly Meetings, Conferences, and Fellowships that constitute Central Philadelphia Quaker Meeting. Upon request from the Clerk, senior staff, or their designees of these constituent organizations, 'The Meeting' will share information (such as name and contact information) about individuals who have participated in 'The Meeting' events, activities, or committees during the 12 months prior to the report. The report does not disclose the details of the interaction, such as which event a Friend attended, specific services used, books purchased, or donations made. 'The Meeting' shares this information to facilitate and support our constituent organizations, and these organizations must agree to use this information exclusively to support the work of their Meeting or Association. Individuals may opt out of this information sharing (see the section "Right to Opt Out").
For specific special events organized by 'The Meeting', you may have the opportunity, as part of your event registration, to share with your Yearly Meeting or other constituent organization that you are attending the event. This will be an opt-in opportunity, allowing your Yearly Meeting to contact you about similar upcoming events or groups with similar interests within your Yearly Meeting.
'The Meeting' employs third-party services critical to our ability to fulfill our mission and serve our members. Consequently, 'The Meeting' may share information collected about you with companies and vendors that provide services necessary for 'The Meeting''s work. These companies do not sell, rent, or trade personally identifiable information with third parties, nor do they use information provided by 'The Meeting' for their promotional purposes. While this is not an exhaustive list, detailed privacy policies of our most frequently used vendors and services are available on our website.
